Arthur Plotnik comes up big in the May 2011 issue of The Writer with his article, “Superlatives 101”. He tells us about his journey to discover viable alternatives to, among others, “great”, “awesome”, and “amazing”.
My personal favourite: With respect to describing a good looking girl, instead of simply using beautiful, lovely, stunning, or gorgeous, what about – narcotically beautiful, or meta-gorgeous, or criminally stunning?
It doesn’t look like the article is available on the web, or at least I couldn’t find it when I searched the title, but check out The Writer online anyway because it meta-rocks in an amazingly wicked way. To get the article, it’s available, as stated, in the print edition.
