“Keep Toronto Reading” + Stuff To Read vol. 2

The Toronto Public Library (their website) is encouraging you and everyone else to read by “hosting” the Keep Toronto Reading Festival 2011 this April (KTR Festival 2011). They are specifically noting Midnight at the Dragon Cafe, by Judy Fong Bates (Judy’s webspace) as something to immerse yourself in. I know I’m a little behind on posting this seeing as it’s already mid-April, but I’m posting it anyway.

I also would like to encourage everyone to read with a list of some of my favourite books (of late at least):

The Shadow of the Wind, By Carlos Ruiz Zafon (his website)

Flyboy Action Figure Comes With Gasmask, by Jim Munroe (his website)

Juliet, Naked, by Nick Hornby (his website) (his Penguin website)

One Day, by David Nicholls (his website)

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, by Dave Eggers (a webpage about him)

The “Suck” trilogy (including – Bloodsucking Fiends, You Suck, and Bite Me) by Christopher Moore (his website)

Their are a ton more that I will most likely post in the newly created “Stuff To Read” thread, but this is what I came up with off the top of my head.

In totally unrelated news, I’m now going to take a shower and then do some writing of my own.
