Some Thoreau I actually understand…etc.

“Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.”

-Henry David Thoreau

Now if only he wrote Walden in that same voice. Maybe I’m a shitty writer for “just not getting” it but I read to the part of one of his other famous quotes, “all men lead lives of quiet desperation” (or something like that), and I pretty much gave up because besides the beginning when he’s talking about living by a lake, I was lost. Maybe I’m just a shitty reader. Shit!

Oh well, maybe next time.

Other good stuff:

This one’s epic!:

“We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.”

-Charles Bukowski

Amazing. That ones going on facebook…and maybe twitter.
